This homeowner in Middletown was a victim of storm damage. They had a ton of shingles missing because strong winds just ripped them right out of their spots. If their roof wasn’t repaired or replaced, then their home was in major danger of leakage.
But thankfully that never happened because a Built Right representative was surveying the area for storm damage and saw the shingles missing from their roof. He immediately introduced himself and offered a solution that they probably never even thought was possible. He informed them that our team can get their insurance company to buy a new roof because of the specific damage they had. And that's what we did; we got their insurance to pay for a whole new roof which we built ourselves. The homeowner didn’t have to lift a finger; the Built Right team and our public adjuster handled everything with the insurance company. So then we completely stripped the roof of all existing shingles, inspected the plywood to make sure it wasn’t damaged as well, used felt paper to protect against leakage, and finally shingled the whole roof with “Sierra Grey” Tamko shingles. In addition, we installed ice/water guards, a drip edge, a ridge vent, used galvanized chimney flashing, and the usual things needed to ensure the roof is fully protected! The homeowner loves the work we did and is grateful that we introduced this infinitely cheaper way to get a new roof.
